أتوجه إليكم بهذه الرسالة لأعبر عن بالغ قلقي واستيائي من التصريحات الأخيرة التي صدرت عنكم بخصوص الإمام المهدي. إن منصبكم كوزير للخارجية يمنح كلماتكم ثقلاً كبيرًا وتأثيرًا واسعًا داخليًا وخارجيًا، لذلك من المؤسف أن نرى في بيانكم إغفالًا لاحترام عقيدة ملايين المسلمين الأمريكيين الذين يؤمنون بالإمام المهدي إمامًا مقدسًا ومنقذًا منتظرًا للبشرية جمعاء.
إن رسالة الإمام المهدي تقوم على ترسيخ قيم السلام والعدالة وخدمة الإنسان. ويعتقد المسلمون أن ظهوره المنتظر برفقة السيد المسيح سيكون إيذانًا بعصر يسوده الأمن والعدل والازدهار، وهي قيم إنسانية نبيلة يتشاركها جميع من يعتز بالحرية والكرامة من مختلف الأديان والثقافات داخل الولايات المتحدة وخارجها.
وفي ظل الأوضاع المتأزمة في المنطقة، نأمل من حكومتكم الموقرة أن تمنح المسار الدبلوماسي الأولوية القصوى، وأن تتجنب اتخاذ أي خطوات قد تزيد من حدة النزاعات أو تؤدي إلى تصعيد التوترات. فالصراع القائم بين إسرائيل وإيران معقد للغاية، والانخراط في حرب لا يصب في مصلحة الولايات المتحدة ويتعارض مع المبادئ الأخلاقية والقانونية التي يقوم عليها النظام الديمقراطي الأمريكي.
لقد وعد الرئيس الأمريكي خلال حملته الانتخابية بالعمل على تحقيق وقف لإطلاق النار وحماية المصالح الوطنية الأمريكية قبل أي شيء. ومن هذا المنطلق، فإن الانخراط في نزاعات جديدة لا يحقق مصالح الشعب الأمريكي، بل يزيد من التكاليف والأعباء ويضر بأمن واستقرار الجميع. إن الطريق الأجدى والأكثر مسؤولية هو دعم جهود السلام وتعزيز الحلول الدبلوماسية التي تحمي الأرواح وتكرّس العدالة وحقوق الإنسان.
وبناءً عليه، نرجو من سيادتكم وحكومتكم الكريمة اتخاذ ما يلي:
• الامتناع عن الانحياز لأي طرف في هذا النزاع، وعدم تقديم الدعم لرئيس الوزراء الإسرائيلي بنيامين نتنياهو الذي ساهم بشكل كبير في إشعال فتيل الأزمة رغم استمرار المفاوضات النووية بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران في مسقط بسلطنة عُمان.
• دعم وتفعيل المساعي الدبلوماسية لحل النزاعات سلميًا مع احترام سيادة دول المنطقة ووحدة أراضيها، وبذل الجهود الجادة لإنهاء المأساة الإنسانية في غزة التي أودت بحياة أكثر من 55 ألف شخص معظمهم من النساء والأطفال.
• العمل بجدية على إرساء وقف دائم لإطلاق النار بما ينسجم مع التزامات الرئيس وتعهداته الانتخابية.
• استخدام القنوات الدبلوماسية للضغط من أجل الالتزام بالقانون الدولي ومنع أي خطوات قد تؤدي إلى زيادة التصعيد أو توسيع رقعة النزاعات.
إن الغالبية الساحقة من الشعب الأمريكي بمختلف أطيافه تؤمن بأهمية السلام وترفض الحروب التي لا تخدم المصلحة العامة. وإننا نثق في حكمتكم ونأمل أن تكون الدبلوماسية والحلول السلمية هي عنوان المرحلة القادمة، حفاظًا على أمن المنطقة واستقرارها وحمايةً لمصالح الولايات المتحدة وشعبها.

Dear Secretary Rubio.
I am writing to express my deep concern and disappointment regarding your recent statement about Imam Mahdi. As a representative of the United States government, your words carry significant weight, and it is disheartening to see a lack of understanding and respect for the beliefs of millions of American Muslims who regard Imam Mahdi as their holy Imam and the awaited savior of the world.
Imam Mahdi’s teachings emphasize peace, justice, and the betterment of humanity. His anticipated return, alongside Jesus, is believed to bring about a world filled with peace, justice, and prosperity. These values align with the principles of justice, compassion, and human dignity that are cherished by people of various faiths and backgrounds in the United States.
Regarding the current geopolitical situation, we urge the United States government to prioritize diplomacy and avoid taking actions that could escalate tensions in the region. The ongoing conflict between Israel and Iran is complex, and it is crucial for the United States not to join the war because it is unethical and immoral and illegal and it is not in the best interest for the country. The diplomatic approach is definitely a better approach and it promotes peace and stability.
As you are aware, the President’s campaign promises included establishing a ceasefire in the region and prioritizing American interests. We believe that the United States should not join any war that is not in its best interest. Instead, we should focus on promoting peace, justice, and human rights through diplomatic means.
In light of this, we respectfully request that the United States government:
1. Avoid taking sides .
Kindly Refrain from supporting the Prime Minister of Israel, Netanyahu, that started this conflict while the negotiation over the nuclear issue was taking place between the United States and Iran in Muscat Oman.
2. Promote diplomacy.
Encourage diplomatic efforts to resolve the conflict peacefully, respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of nations in the region and resolving the conflict in Gaza that suffered over 55 thousands casualties the majority of the victims are women and children.
3. Support a ceasefire.
Work towards establishing a lasting ceasefire in the region, as promised by the President during his campaign.
4. Address Netanyahu’s actions: Use diplomatic channels to urge restraint and adherence to international law, ensuring that actions taken do not escalate tensions further.
The majority of Americans, including Muslim, Jewish, and Christian communities, value peace and stability. We believe that it is essential for the United States government to prioritize diplomacy and avoid actions that could lead to further conflict.
